Siemens Works with Taiwan's New Government on Promoting Industrie 4.0
- Siemens and the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Productivity 4.0 Office sign memorandum of cooperation to promote cooperation between Taiwan and Germany to train talent, forge technology exchanges, and promote business opportunities. This will also assist the new government in its "Five Innovative Plans" and substantively assist Taiwan in its move towards Industrie 4.0.

Siemens recently signed a memorandum of cooperation with the MOEA's Productivity 4.0 Office, and from May 30 to June 2, Siemens Ltd. Taiwan President and CEO Erdal Elver participated in the Taiwan-Germany Productivity/Industry 4.0 Forum, the COMPUTEX 2016 CPX Conference, the European Innovation Week Smart Industry Seminar, and National Taiwan University's Global MBA Green Economy Class, delivering addresses focusing on Industrie 4.0. Siemens hopes that cooperation with Taiwan's government and Mr. Elver's promotion of the Industrie 4.0 in the forums will help Industrie 4.0 to take root here via the introduction of Siemens' world-leading technology and experience in smart manufacturing.
Mr. Elver pointed out that Taiwan's government has already formulated the Productivity 4.0 Initiative in response to the arrival of the age of smart manufacturing and Taiwan's need for industrial transformation. As an important and trusted technology partner with Taiwan’s industry, Siemens will continue to provide support and assistance by sharing its experience and technology, he said. Mr. Elver added, “Siemens and the Productivity 4.0 Office recently signed a memorandum of cooperation, and we hope that our participation in this series of important forums will enable us to share Germany's experience in Industrie 4.0, exhibit the integration of virtual and physical industrial technologies, and relate our successful experience in creating smart factories with industrial leaders and students here. Siemens is assisting Taiwan in a substantive manner, and it is working together with Taiwan to achieve smart manufacturing.”
