The Taoyuan city invites both experts and scholars international and also domestic to raise awareness of occupational safety.
In order to enhance the workplace safety and health culture and promote the workplace safety and health environment in Taoyuan, the Taoyuan City Government will hold the “2019 Occupational Safety and Health National Forum in Taoyuan” at the International Conference Hall of Hotel Kuva Chateau from July 9th to 10th , 2019. Invited experts and scholars from Japan, Korea and domestic to give speeches and comprehensive discussions to share workplace issues such as workplace safety and labor health protection and promotion. It is expected to enhance the professional standards of occupational safety and health through international cooperation and exchanges, and build a perfect healthy workplace in Taoyuan City.
The forum will kick off with the theme of “The Risk Assessment Management for Construction Industry”. More than 10 experts and scholars from Japan, Korea and domestic were invited to attend the conference. The 4 major axes of the conference includes as: - "The Risk Assessment Management for Construction Industry" - " Climate change and the impact of occupational safety and health", - " Fire and Explosion Management for Manufacturing Industry " - " Health Management for New Occupational Diseases ".
The Taoyuan City Government stated that it is expected to establish a platform for mutual contact through the 4 major issues in the conference, and to draw on domestic and foreign high performance and experience, and promote international exchanges and cooperation. The experience shared by experts and scholars in the conference will also enable the Taoyuan City Government to find out the difficulties that may occur in the system and actual implementation, so as to improve and enhance the occupational safety and health culture and management knowledge of Taoyuan City.
In addition, at the same time as the kick-off of this event, Li Hsien-Ming, the Deputy Mayor of Taoyuan City said that in order to encourage and affirm the excellent contribution of the public institutions to the occupational safety, special awards were given to recognize 5 occupational safety and health institutions and 2 occupational safety and health personnel. In the meantime, the flag was given to a total of 3 safety and health families in 2019. By the meaning of large factories share work safety culture with small factories, the safety and health concept of small and medium enterprises was rooted, and the unique work safety culture of Taoyuan City was established. For the safe and healthy resources of the workplace, we will create a more perfect employment environment in Taoyuan City by " counseling is better than punishment ".
Li Hsien-Ming, the Deputy Mayor of Taoyuan City also expressed in the conference, he hopes that through this international forum, the enterprises within the jurisdiction of Taoyuan City can deeply cultivate the awareness of occupational safety and health, draw on relevant content and experience shared by experts and scholars, and also learn together and invigorate more and more. The forum was attended by 450 guests, including union representatives, heads of institutions and senior executives, occupational safety and health management personnel, medical staff and labor friends interested in this topic. Chen Ching-Hang, Director-general of the Department of Labor, and Chou Hsien-Ping, Director of the Labor Inspection Department, Taoyuan City Government also said that in the face of emerging occupational safety and health problems such as abnormal climate change, labor aging or sweatshop-ish management, it is even more necessary for domestic and foreign scholars to work together to make Taoyuan City’s occupation Safety and health are more implemented and better.
