In New Zealand, there are only 8 universities over the country. Two of them are based in Auckland, the busiest city in New Zealand, University of Auckland and Auckland University of Technology. People often get confused with the difference between two universities.
Both universities are located in the CBD and some campuses are around Auckland. However, these two high-reputation universities have different ways of teaching. University of Auckland mainly focuses on the research, relatively academic and traditional teaching; whereas Auckland University of Technology was a polytechnic originally and became university recently. Therefore, it provides a lot of practical teachings and smaller classes.
Actually, there is really no “better” schools but what’s personal motivation and what you want.
