Breakthrough in Biotech R&D! Jerosse teams up with international nutrition autho
TAIWAN NEWS Obesity has become one of the world's foremost health problems, and the overweight or obese rate among adults in Taiwan from 2016 to 2019 reached 47.9% (Health Promotion Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Taiwan, 2021), leading to related metabolic diseases. With the rapid westernization of diets and lifestyles, there is a trend of diseases occurring at younger ages. Furthermore, it is worrying that the prevalence of diabetes in Taiwan continues to rise, with a trend towards younger age of onset. The number of patients has exceeded 2.4 million, accounting for nearly one-tenth of the total population.
Kevin Lu, founder of Jerosse, pointed out that in order to maintain their own health and reduce unnecessary medical burden, most people have turned to popular dieting methods such as ketogenic diets, intermittent fasting, and the Japanese banana diet in recent years to help control their weight. However, with the discovery of bioscience research, hormones related to appetite, such as leptin, adiponectin, and insulin stability, are the real key to creating an easy-to-lose physique, and this is worth the attention of the people of Taiwan.
In order to promote the national health biotech brand Jerosse, considering the significant differences in the diets and lifestyles of the Taiwanese people compared to the past, after deep cooperation with Professor Lin Wen-chuan, a top 2% global scientist and expert in the field of pharmacy, last year, the company is now working with international nutrition authority Professor Wang Jin-kun of the International Food Technology Federation and the International College of Nutrition to identify the correlation between dietary nutrients and biochemical indicators through a 90-day clinical trial.
Professor Wang Jin-kun said that in the control group of the experiment, it was found that internal R&D confirmed that supplementing with key and adequate nutrients, combined with lifestyle changes, not only led to a significant decrease in body fat, but also significantly improved blood pressure and blood lipid conditions (total cholesterol, triglycerides, and low-density lipoprotein), and even significantly improved the body's antioxidant capacity, creating a good physique.
Professor Wang Jin-kun emphasized that, to everyone's surprise, the research also found that insulin levels had significantly decreased within the 90-day period. Currently, the research team is collaborating with Jerosse's team of nutritionists to jointly explore the report's contents, and it is expected to be published in an international journal in the fourth quarter, laying a new benchmark for the development of Taiwan's biotech industry.
